SMS Terms
Our SMS messaging program, in plain English.

Program description
goldenhour operates an A2P 10DLC SMS messaging program on behalf of independent beauty and wellness professionals (“artists”) who use the platform to manage their bookings. Messages are sent to two audiences:
- End-clients : people who book an appointment with an artist through a goldenhour booking page. They receive booking confirmations, day-before reminders, after-care instructions, two-way customer-service replies, and (only if they explicitly opt in to marketing at booking) occasional rebook reminders, birthday treats, and promotions.
- Artists : people who run their business on goldenhour. They receive transactional account messages (SMS-OTP sign-in codes, payout alerts, system notifications). Artists do not receive marketing SMS from goldenhour itself.
How you opt in
You are opting in to receive SMS messages from goldenhour and the relevant artist when you do any of the following:
- Complete a booking on a goldenhour-hosted booking page — for example the public demo at
goldenhourhq.com/book-demoor a live artist booking page on its own subdomain such asbook.sobetan.com. The SMS consent disclosure appears directly above the submit button. By tapping “Book it” (or “Confirm & pay”) you confirm both the booking and your consent to receive transactional SMS related to that appointment. - Check the optional “Also send me occasional rebook reminders, birthday treats, and promotions” checkbox on the booking form. The checkbox is off by default; the booking completes whether or not it is checked.
- Sign in to the customer account portal using SMS-OTP — by entering your phone number on the sign-in page and tapping “Text me a code” you are requesting a one-time passcode.
- Text our business number directly. Inbound texts are treated as an opt-in to a two-way conversation with the artist on that line.
For each opt-in we record the phone number, the opt-in method, the timestamp, the originating IP address, the user-agent string, and a cryptographic hash of the exact disclosure text you were shown.
Mobile information sharing
Mobile information (phone numbers collected for SMS) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information sharing with subprocessors that directly support the SMS program is permitted — specifically Twilio, our messaging carrier, which delivers each message and may retain delivery records to comply with telecom regulations. All other use, sharing, or sale of mobile information for marketing purposes is excluded. This restriction applies regardless of any broader sharing language elsewhere in our Privacy Policy.
How you opt out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving SMS from that number. We also honor these equivalent keywords: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, REVOKE. You will receive a single confirmation reply and no further messages from that artist's line.
To resubscribe, reply START (or SUBSCRIBE, YES, UNSTOP) to the same number, or complete a new booking — both reset your consent state.
Help
Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message for assistance. You can also email hello@goldenhourhq.com and we will respond within one business day.
Message frequency, rates, and supported carriers
Message frequency varies and depends on your booking activity with the artist. A typical client receives 3-5 transactional messages per appointment (confirmation, reminder, after-care, follow-up). Marketing messages, if you opted in, are sent at most a few times per month.
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, US Cellular, and Virgin Mobile.
